How it started
It started with an article about a startup that faked its SOC 2 preparation.
Cybrela AI/Tech grew out of an idea that started on a business trip to Singapore and then a short trip to Bali, where our CEO Kateřina read about a startup doing SOC 2 preparation — and it was a fraud. Because this isn't about filling in some documents and slapping a company logo on them.
So she started searching for whether anything even exists that works like Cybrela — a consulting app that isn't just “here are your templates, now go collect evidence for the audit”, but something that knows what to ask. Because it has hundreds of projects behind it and is a mix of lawyer, consultant and business-minded creature. And it might just fill a gap in a market short on cyber consultants.
And also — we won't pretend otherwise — our CEO's wish not to have to explain everything to every junior in the firm, so they could ask someone with the same knowledge instead. That's how the idea for an internal Marta came about.
From that internal Marta came the realisation that it could speed up and improve processes not just for our own team but for others too. And out of that idea — once you drop the assumption that it can't be done — our CEO and colleagues at Cybrela started naming what annoys them (booking tools), and clients what they're missing (audit portals). And voilà: Cybrela AI/Tech — the missing tools, built by the people who needed them.
